Privacy Policy
The short version: Prompter does not collect, store or share your personal data. Your scripts stay on your iPhone, your recordings go to your Photos library, and speech recognition for Follow voice runs on your device. There are no accounts, analytics, ads or trackers.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Prompter app for iOS (the "App") handles information. "We", "us" and "our" refer to the developer of the App. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. The App has no user accounts and does not send your scripts, recordings, voice or usage data to us or to any server operated by us. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
2. Data stored on your device
- Scripts. Scripts you write are saved as files inside the App's own storage on your iPhone. They are not uploaded anywhere. They may be included in your device backups (iCloud or computer) according to your own iOS settings, which are governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Settings. Any preferences you set in the App, such as scroll speed or text size, are kept locally on your device.
- Recordings. Videos you record are saved to your Photos library. After that they are managed by iOS and by you.
Deleting the App removes its scripts and settings from your device. Videos already saved to Photos stay there until you delete them.
3. Device permissions
The App asks for the following permissions only when you use the related feature. You can change them at any time in iOS Settings > Prompter.
- Camera — to show the live front-camera preview behind your script and to record video.
- Microphone — to record audio with your video and to hear your voice for Follow voice.
- Speech Recognition — to match what you say with your script for Follow voice. The App requests on-device recognition, so audio is processed on your iPhone and is not sent to us. On the rare device or language where Apple's on-device recognition is not available, iOS may process speech using Apple's servers under Apple's Privacy Policy; we never receive that audio or text.
- Photos (add only) — to save your finished recordings to your Photos library. The App does not read your existing photos or videos.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your name, email, payment card or billing address. The App receives only the information Apple's StoreKit provides on your device to confirm which purchases are active, so it can unlock Pro features. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles payment information.
5. Sharing of information
Because we do not collect personal information, we do not sell, rent or share it with anyone. If you choose to share a video from your Photos library to another app or service, that sharing is under your control and that service's own privacy policy applies.
6. Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and keep it no longer than needed to resolve your request. You can ask us to delete our correspondence at any time.
7. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App collects no personal data, no such data is collected from anyone.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of your personal data. Since we do not hold personal data about App users, there is usually nothing for us to provide or delete, but you can contact us with any request and we will respond within the time required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Security
Your scripts are protected by the security of your iPhone, including its passcode and data encryption. Keeping your device secure helps keep your content private.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the App handles data — for example, when we add new features — we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
